Ashoka has announced the Power of Local Challenge 2025, inviting applications from organizations that support small businesses through resources, tools, and networking opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Focus Areas: Initiatives should concentrate on:
- Collaborative Networks: Connecting small businesses with local partners to share resources and drive collective growth.
- Capacity Building: Offering training and mentorship to help small businesses develop essential skills.
- Financial Support: Creating pathways to capital and enhancing financial literacy for small businesses.
- Geographical Impact: Projects must primarily benefit at least one of the following countries:
- Africa: Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe.
- Americas: Brazil, Mexico.
- Asia: Indonesia.
- Language: Applications must be submitted in English.
- Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years old by the application deadline.
Application Process:
- Sign Up: Create an account on the Ashoka platform and accept the Challenge Terms & Conditions.
- Submit Application: Provide detailed information about your project and its impact.
- Peer Reviews: After submission, review 10 other applications to gain insights and connect with fellow changemakers.
