Although One Young World Summits are wonderful, motivating occasions, the real work starts after each Summit.
All delegates who attend a summit are appointed One Young World Ambassadors and given the responsibility of making a difference in their nations, communities, and organisations.
Since 2010, the actions of more than 18,700 young leaders from this worldwide community have had a beneficial influence on more than 50.42 million people.
The One Young World staff in London and the thousands of Ambassadors around the world rely on Coordinating Ambassadors to keep the community cohesive. A vibrant group of volunteers known as One Young World Coordinating Ambassadors strives to maintain interaction with One Young World Ambassadors in their respective regions. This comprises:
- Coordinating activities to engage regional Ambassadors. This can include anything from events and meetups, to roundtables and volunteer activities.
- Collaborating with your regional leadership team
- Identifying candidates for ‘Ambassador Spotlight’
- Contributing to monthly regional newsletters
- Supplying content for the regional social media accounts
Eligibility
- Applicant must have an enjoyment of connecting with others and building relationships;
- A passion for the aims of One Young World and activities of Ambassadors;
- Action-oriented individuals wanting to drive impact;
- A high level of written and spoken English;
- The ability to commit meaningful time and effort to the role (on average 3-4 hours per week);
- Personal access to a computer and internet.
