Air Peace announces N1.2m for London route

by Tolulope Akinruli

An aviation expert has recently voiced strong disapproval of Saudi Arabia’s decision to revoke visa-on-arrival privileges for 264 Nigerian travelers, characterizing the move as emblematic of the intricate web of geopolitical dynamics shaping aviation policies. This decision, underscored by its potential impact on travel and diplomatic relations between the two nations, has garnered attention and criticism from various quarters.

Meanwhile, Air Peace, a prominent Nigerian airline, has unveiled revised pricing structures for its London route, effective March 30. The adjustments, as announced by the airline’s Corporate Communications Lead, Mr. Stanley Olisa, signal a strategic shift aimed at enhancing accessibility and affordability for travelers. Notably, the new fare structure offers economy class tickets starting at N1.2 million, with business class options priced at N4 million.

This announcement comes amidst a backdrop of escalating ticket prices for London-bound flights from Nigeria, with existing rates ranging from N2.3 million to N4.2 million for economy class and up to N6 million for business class. By introducing more competitive pricing, Air Peace seeks to address the growing demand for affordable travel options while simultaneously expanding its market reach.

In addition to unveiling the revised fare structure, Mr. Olisa highlighted the availability of flight schedules for Air Peace’s London route on the airline’s website, underscoring the company’s commitment to transparency and customer convenience. Furthermore, the airline is extending a special 15% rebate on economy fares to Nigerian students studying in the United Kingdom, further enhancing accessibility for this demographic.

This initiative builds upon Air Peace’s ongoing efforts to cater to the needs of its diverse customer base, particularly within the context of international travel. Notably, the airline had previously announced a special fare for Nigerian students studying in the UK during a gathering with travel agents in Lagos, setting the stage for the forthcoming launch of its London route.

As Air Peace prepares to inaugurate its London service, it marks a significant milestone for the airline, which will now boast seven international destinations since its inception nearly a decade ago. This expansion underscores the company’s strategic vision and commitment to providing reliable and affordable air travel options for passengers, both domestically and internationally.
