THE African Development Bank, AfDB, has obtained $110,000 from the Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa, SEFA, to help Ekiti State build the State Electricity Priority Plan, SEPP.
Prof. Bolaji Aluko, the Ekiti State Commissioner for Infrastructure and Public Utilities, announced this in Ado Ekiti, stating that the approved funding was in response to the state’s request for grant funding to support the establishment of the Power Sector Reform Desk in his Ministry to mainstream decentralized renewable energy solutions.
Aluko explained that the funding approval obtained through the Africa Energy Sector Technical Assistance Programme, AESTAP, window would sponsor three State delegates to attend a hybrid training course on Power Sector regulation at the Africa School of Regulation, ASR, as well as consulting services.
