Twelve-year-old Madden Forrest and his father, Steven, have transformed a simple hobby into a booming business generating nearly $50,000 in monthly revenue.
Launched in October 2024 as a side hustle, Bull Island Breaks began with breaking collectible cards live on TikTok, starting with Pokémon and later specializing in football cards.
The Virginia-based duo livestreams daily on their Bull Island Breaks account, selling individual NFL team slots to fans hoping to score valuable cards.
Their method allows buyers to participate in high-value card packs without purchasing an entire box.
To retain customers, they give out free cards when participants don’t win.
After generating over $4,000 in a single day on New Year’s Eve, the Forrests committed fully to the venture in 2025.
From January to May, the business pulled in over $180,000 in gross sales and about $70,000 in profit. With more than 7,000 orders fulfilled, they aim to reach $65,000 in revenue this June.
Despite challenges like a temporary TikTok ban, Madden and Steven have built a loyal community.
Madden, who turns 13 next month, says the business has not only brought financial success but also strengthened his bond with his dad. The young entrepreneur hopes to one day open his own card shop.
