Helen Williams, a Nigerian woman, has achieved a world record for making the ‘wildest wig’, according to Guinness World Records. According to the GWR’s blog post, Helen “crafted a hairpiece that’s 3.65 m (11 ft 11 in) wide and trails all the way to the floor,” which is equivalent to a Mini Cooper, which is 3.63 m (11 ft 10 in) long.
It further reported that she spent over a month creating her latest record-breaking creation, which included over 800 bundles of auburn hair and cost 4,138,200 Naira ($2,719; £2,150) in ingredients.
The GWR also revealed that the 31-year-old fashioned the most of her incredibly wide wig by hand, but used a sewing machine for other portions. Helen, who also has the record for the most hair clips in a wig in 30 seconds (90), remarked, “I am very proud of myself.” I currently hold three records.
“As a professional wig maker, I hope to set many more records in the wig category. I appreciate taking on difficult projects because it helps me become a better person and teaches me new things.

Helen also claimed that she was inspired by Drew Barrymore, a former record-breaking actress and talk show host. “I am a big fan of Drew Barrymore, she also inspired me,” Helen stated. Helen now holds three records, including one for placing 90 hair clips into a wig in under 30 seconds and another for making the longest handmade wig ( Guinness world record).
