President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has swore in Esther Walson-Jack as the new Head of Civil Service of the Federation, succeeding Yemi-Esan. Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Yemi-Esan as the federation’s acting head of civil service on September 18, 2019.
She took over for Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita, who had been suspended. Speaking on his experience during a Town Hall gathering arranged by the Joint Union Negotiating Council (JUNC) in her honour to send her farewell from the service, Yemi-Esan stated, “I thank God for the opportunity to serve my country.
I never imagined myself becoming the Federation’s Head of Service unless it was by God’s will.
I’d also like to thank former President Muhammadu Buhari and President Bola Tinubu for making my work simpler. “My transformative Permanent Secretaries are not left out as they are dedicated and hard-working to give me the needed support” .
