The WAAW Scholarship Program provides a $500 one-time stipend to young African women who want to pursue undergraduate STEM education.
The scholarship offer is only given to courses that are relevant to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).
Scholars who demonstrate a need and possess the enthusiasm and determination to improve their community are sought after by WAAW.
Eligibility
- Female students of African origin, living and studying in Africa
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
- Studying STEM-related courses in a University or college in Africa.
- Presently a first or second-year student or a third-year student for a 5-year course in a University
- Ability to demonstrate financial needs
- Excellent Academic Record
- Proven leadership, volunteering, and community service
- Below the age of 32 years.
Benefits
The WAAW Foundation scholarship is a one-time award of $500.
Required Documents
To apply, interested and qualified candidates must be ready to submit the following documents online via the application link;
- 2 Reference Letters are to be submitted by your referees.
- 1 signed and sealed copy of your current transcript from your University.
- 1 scanned copy of your school ID card.
