The Vivo X Fold+ 5G foldable smartphone has been spotted on the Wireless Power Consortium with a key image. The 5G-capable foldable phone will be available in China starting tomorrow, September 26. Notably, the X Fold+ 5G will be Vivo’s second foldable phone this year.
Vivo has also officially teased a new hinge mechanism for the X Fold+ 5G. In addition, the device will receive numerous notable designs and other enhancements. The company is now building anticipation for the foldable phone’s impending release by teasing its key specifications.
Vivo recently revealed some X Fold+ 5G specifications on its official Weibo channel. The full specifications, however, will not be revealed until the launch event. Meanwhile, the Wireless Power Consortium website now lists the Vivo X Fold+ 5G foldable phone.

The upcoming Vivo X Fold+ 5G foldable smartphone could compete with Xiaomi’s Mix Fold 2 and Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4. The Wireless Power Consortium listing shows that the Vivo phone has model number V2229A. Furthermore, the listing includes an image of the device’s back panel and cover display.
To begin, the display has a hole-punch cutout to accommodate the front shooter. Similarly, the back panel has a rectangular camera setup that houses a circular camera module. The island also has four sensors and an LED flash. The image also suggests that Vivo will work with Zeiss on the X Fold+ 5G.
Vivo recently confirmed that the X Fold+ 5G would be available in Red. However, a Black/Grey and Blue colour option is also possible. It will be powered by a powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It also draws its power from a powerful 4730mAh battery unit. This cell supports fast charging up to 80W.
Furthermore, the Vivo X Fold+ 5G will support 10W reverse wireless charging and 50W wireless charging. The foldable display will have a refresh rate of 120Hz. In addition, the X Fold+ 5G is said to have an 8.03-inch foldable display. According to the most recent rumours, it will also have a 6.53-inch cover display.
The device could have a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultrawide, and a 12MP portrait lens on the back for optics. There will also be an 8MP periscope camera. The foldable phone will have a 32MP selfie camera on the front.
