UBA doles out N22.5m in memorable Christmas draw

United Bank for Africa Plc rewarded 64 customers in its grand super saver’s promo draw’ on Friday.

To ensure transparency and accountability, representatives from the Consumer Protection Council (CPC), the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), and the Lagos State Lottery Board were present at the draw, which took place on Friday amid fanfare.

23 UBA bumper account holders walked away with a grand prize of N2 million, N1.2 million, N500,000, and N100,000, respectively.

Ten UBA Savings account holders received N1 million each, ten tertiary institution students and Youth Corps members with a UBA NextGen account received N180,000 in pocket money for a year, 20 children with a UBA Kiddies or Teens Account received N200,000 in school fees grant, and one domiciliary account holder received N1 million.

Winners of the Super Savers draw include Ranti Esther Olaniyi, who screamed with joy after learning over the phone that she was the star prize winner of a whopping N2m, and Ayuba Nafisa Yusuf, who won N1.2m. Akor Dzer, another lucky winner, won N500,000.

Speaking at the draw, the Group General Manager-Retail, Digital & Transaction Banking stated that the bank is undeniably passionate about creating beautiful, long-lasting memories and transforming customers’ lives, urging them to maintain and cultivate a lasting savings culture that will undoubtedly benefit their overall growth.

He said:

At UBA, the welfare and ultimate success of our customers and their financial freedom is at the Centre of everything that we do and this is why we are making millionaires, either by supporting your businesses, or by rewarding you for saving.

Uzoamaka Oyeka, Group Head, Brand and Marketing, stated that the new set of UBA millionaires and winners are now assured of ‘happy holidays’ with their massive wins. She then congratulated the winners and encouraged them and other customers to keep saving with UBA because there are still monthly chances to win prizes in future UBA draws. I’d like to thank all of our clients.‘You are the reason we are in existence, and we assure you that next year will even be bigger and better ‘, she said.
