Sen. Ajibola Basiru, who represents the Osun Central Senatorial District, has distanced himself from a Facebook page that posted a message congratulating Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke on his election, as captioned by Entrepreneurng report.

“The Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs Chairman, Basiru, responded in a statement he released on Thursday.”
A unanimous decision by the Court of Appeal in Abuja on an appeal brought by Adeleke pronounced him the victor of the governorship election.

Basiru claimed that the post was sponsored by the PDP and the Adeleke administration in a statement headed “APC Must Proceed to the Supreme Court.”
“Buga judgment has been finally put to rest!!!,” said one of the posts on a Facebook page with his images under the name Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, the man said. Alhamdulilah.”
The aforementioned Facebook account is unmistakably a creation of the naive Peoples Democratic Party administration of Jackson Adeleke in Osun State, which is trying to uphold the Court of Appeal’s ruling on their appeal against the tribunal’s decision to invalidate their party’s purported election in the general election of July 2022.

The PDP appears to be acting in desperation by trying to have the Court of Appeal’s decision questioned, perhaps out of concern that it might not pass the Supreme Court’s scrutiny.

But, in response, Oladele Olabamiji, the Osun PDP’s director of media, rejected Basiru’s claims, claiming that neither the party nor Adeleke would ever commit such a crime.
“Who is Ajibola Basiru, he asked. Someone who, having been soundly crushed by our party, will soon become simply another common citizen!”
He is not on our list of concerns if we are experiencing any headaches. We can’t get ourselves to the point of setting up a phony Facebook account and starting to post things. for what purpose?
In conclusion, he has no political significance at all, therefore we wouldn’t even consider doing such a thing.
