Transcorp Hotel Plc reported a 36.2 percent revenue increase for 2023, marking a significant milestone in its financial performance.

Dupe Olusola, the Managing Director/CEO of Transcorp Hotels Plc, disclosed this during a presentation to analysts and investors, highlighting the company’s impressive growth trajectory. The revenue surged from N30.4 billion to N41.4 billion, showcasing a robust expansion in its financial operations.

Furthermore, Olusola emphasized the remarkable improvement in profit before tax, which soared by 105 percent, reaching N9.4 billion compared to N4.6 billion recorded in 2022. Additionally, profit after tax witnessed an outstanding growth of 133 percent, rising to N6 billion from N2.6 billion in the previous year.

Olusola underscored Transcorp Hotel’s commitment to excellence in hospitality, emphasizing its position as a premier organization in Africa’s hospitality landscape. She highlighted the Transcorp Hilton Abuja as a flagship brand renowned for its luxury hospitality and culinary excellence, offering a unique blend of services catering to business and leisure travellers.

Olusola outlined key growth strategies to sustain its exceptional performance, including leveraging the digital platform Aura to revolutionize bookings, guest engagement, and revenue generation. She emphasized the importance of innovation and adaptability in the digital age to drive continued success in the industry.

Additionally, the company aims to enhance operational efficiency through strategic sourcing and cost optimization efforts while maintaining the high-quality standards expected by guests.

Looking ahead, Olusola expressed confidence in Transcorp Hotel’s ability to maintain its performance in 2024 and beyond. The company’s strategic focus includes widening its portfolio, innovating and diversifying services to fuel revenue growth, and prioritizing operational efficiency to reinforce its leadership position in Nigeria’s hospitality sector.
