She also criticized Pa Ayo Adebanjo, the interim leader of the pan-Yoruba sociopolitical organization Afenifere, for his resistance to Tinubu’s election as the next president.

Edionseri, also known as Cash Madam, gave a speech during a prayer gathering held in honor of her 88th birthday. The event took place at the Kobiti Central Mosque in Ogun State’s capital, Abeokuta.

Edionseri discussed the news with reporters and asked Tinubu to put together a group of “true Nigerians” whose viewpoints support his plans and goals for the nation.

She remarked, “Tinubu should not let us down; Nigerians have waited too long for this moment, and he cannot afford to let us down. Tinubu needs to find a solution to the nation’s unemployment issue.

All the country’s problems with insecurity would be resolved if youth were empowered and given jobs. Kidnapping, armed robbery, banditry, and terrorism wouldn’t exist if there were jobs for our kids.

“Tinubu should only seek advice from people who truly care about the nation; he should pay attention to the opinions of genuine Nigerians rather than sycophants who are just interested in themselves.”
“May his rule bring Nigeria the much-needed development and prosperity that Nigerians have been longing for.”
However, the elderly woman expressed disappointment in Adebanjo at the victory of his rival Tinubu.
“We had higher expectations of the Yoruba elders we looked up to. We all anticipated Pa Ayo Adebanjo, a well-known Yoruba leader, to play the part of an elder statesman, but he didn’t. He didn’t fight for Yoruba’s peace and cohesion.”
Conclusion
Although I have a great deal of respect for Pa Adebanjo, his actions during the election left many of us feeling let down. Adebanjo believed he was merely against President-elect Bola Tinubu, but he was opposing the entire Yoruba race. The future of our children was harmed by him, Edionseri stated.
