Tacha: Women shouldn’t be faithful until they are married

by Tolulope Akinruli

Tacha, also known as Natacha Anita Akide, is a controversial reality TV star and media personality who has stirred up controversy in the public eye for her unconventional views on faithfulness in partnerships. Her opinions, which she expressed in an interview with Phyna, another Big Brother Naija alum, have sparked a flurry of conversations on social media.

She advised women in relationships not to put loyalty first until they are engaged or married in the video that went viral online. She questioned the need for faithfulness in the absence of a legal commitment, claiming that a person is essentially single until they exchange vows.

“Until you most likely get a ring, you have to be in that relationship and not be faithful. Alternatively, you may wait until you’re getting married and need to vow allegiance to your spouse—which oath did you make to him? Do you get what I mean, like? You are aware that you remain single until you get married, right? She made a comment in the interview.
