Pi Network has extended the Know Your Customer (KYC) verification and Mainnet migration deadline to 28 February 2025, giving users more time to secure their Pi holdings.
Despite this extension, the project has faced criticism for ongoing delays and missed deadlines, which have frustrated its user base.
Some users have questioned the credibility of the initiative, with some even ceasing to use the network.
According to the Pi Network team, the extension aims to enhance equity and inclusion by allowing more users to complete their KYC verification and transfer their Pi holdings to the Mainnet.
Furthermore, they clarified that the anticipated launch of the Open Network, still scheduled for the first quarter of 2025, remains unaffected by this extension.
Nevertheless, user interest and trust have waned due to the persistent delays and lack of tangible progress, and some community members are already expressing doubts about the project’s viability.
