The Northern Elders Forum (NEF) has been plunged into profound sorrow and grief following the demise of the distinguished former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Umar Na’abba. In a poignant expression of condolences, NEF emphasized the immense magnitude of the loss, characterizing it as a considerable setback for the nation at large. The forum, through a heartfelt statement articulated by its Director General, Professor Doknan D Sheni, extended its sympathies not only to the grieving family of the departed but also to the residents of Kano, a place where Na’abba had left an indelible mark.
