New Update: Google will mentor female-led firms in Nigeria – Online Training

Three new projects from Google have been launched to support female entrepreneurs in Africa. 

In essence, it will serve as an avenue for many Nigerian entrepreneurs to boost business or Work Productivity. So this is a lifetime opportunity that should be embraced.

Among the initiatives is the Hustle Academy for Women-Led Businesses, the Google for Startups Accelerator Africa: Women Founders Cohort, and a social media campaign honoring influential women working in Africa’s technology sector. The initiatives, according to the company, are in honor of International Women’s Day.

The head of the startup ecosystem for Africa, Folarin Aiayegbusi, commented on the initiatives, saying, “We are happy to announce the selected startups for the inaugural class of our Google for Startups Accelerator Africa: Women Founders Cohort.

These women are tackling some of Africa’s most critical concerns, and we’re pleased to help them as they build the future. Nigerian women should be empowered and employed for greatness.

Google clarified that its hustle school is a boot camp-style training program created to assist entrepreneurs in growing their revenue, positioning themselves for investment, and creating long-lasting enterprises.

It said that throughout March, it would conduct six hustle academy cohorts with a female focus in Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa just to boost all African women entrepreneur Productivity as a whole and towards achieving great success for themselves.

The company added that it had chosen 15 firms from Nigeria as well as seven from other African nations for the initiatives.

However, at Google, we are committed to giving women entrepreneurs in Africa access to investment, mentorship, and networking opportunities,” Dorothy Ooko, Head of Communications, stated. We want to close the gender gap and give women the tools they need to excel in their respective industries through our programs.

In essence, gender equality is basic to improve economic progress and also to make women useful tools in society.

Nevertheless, the startups chosen for the Startups Accelerator Africa Women Founders Cohort include Afriwell Health (Congo), Alajo App (Nigeria), eWaka (Kenya), Farmer Lifeline (Kenya), Maxibuy (Nigeria), MosMos (Kenya), Gobeba (Kenya), Hepta Pay (Rwanda), Jem HR (South Africa), Kola Market (Ghana), Mip (Kenya).
