New Trend : Nigeria Will Host a Trade Expo For Intra-Africa

According to a report from Entrepreneurng, Nigeria has been chosen to host the fourth iteration of the Intra-Africa Trade Fair in 2025.

With a Gross Domestic Product of over US$3.5 trillion and a market size of over 1.3 billion people, the African Continental Free Trade Area has created a special and useful platform for businesses to reach the continent.

At the groundbreaking ceremony for the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ultra-Modern Shopping Center, which would be located on 10 hectares of land along Airport Road in Abuja, Minister of Trade and Investment Niyi Adebayo made this announcement.

He claimed that after successfully submitting a bid to organize the event, where African buyers and sellers get together to seek commercial prospects, the country’s request had been approved.

Following a successful bid to host the event, Nigeria has been chosen to potentially host the fourth Intra-Africa Trade in 2025, the man added.

The minister, who was represented by the Director of Trade, Suleiman Audu, discussed the project and stated that it was timely since it would help Nigeria’s economy expand and thrive.

He claims that the project is meant to encourage commercial activity in the Federal Capital Territory.

According to the AfCFTA agenda, “the opening of the ACCI retail center would support the government’s efforts to improve Nigeria’s image and is projected to be a hub for all types of enterprises and a platform for business networking.

“The project is intended to achieve the chamber’s goal of promoting the growth and development of businesses in the FCT and supporting the private sector in maintaining sustainable progress and prosperity in commercial activities in Nigeria. “Buying and selling, the exchange of goods and services, always generate the momentum that results in more economic growth.”

In conclusion, the minister also urged increased public-private sector cooperation to reorient the country’s economy.
