New Chancellor: I’ll Emphasize LAUTECH’s Previously Achieved Triumphs

His Royal Majesty Ohna Sergeant Chidi Awuse, the recently appointed Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has pledged to use every tool at his disposal to assure further improvement of LAUTECH’s already proven successes, as captioned by Entrepreneurng report.

A delegation from LAUTECH led by Professor Ayodeji Omole, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the University Governing Council, visited the new Chancellor and spoke to him in his palace at Emohua.

However, Awuse thanked Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State and the Visitor to the school, and that he would never take the position for granted.

The Royal Majesty praised the Institution’s leadership for making the effort to personally brief him and congratulate him, saying that his people and the entire Rivers people were pleased with the appointment and will remain appreciative.

Earlier in his speech, the team’s leader, Professor Omole, thanked Her Majesty for agreeing to serve as the university’s Chancellor and prayed that God would provide him with the resources he would need to guide the university to its intended objective.

Additionally, he gave the Royal Majesty a briefing on the upcoming convocation events, which would include the Chancellor’s investiture on Friday, April 28.

Nonetheless, other dignitaries present at the meeting were Professor Okey Onuchukwu, acting vice chancellor of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education in Port-Harcourt, and Chukwuemeka Woke, chief of staff to Governor Nyesom Wike of the state of Rivers.

In conclusion, the LAUTECH staff included the Bursar, Mr. Abayomi Okediji, the Deputy Registrar (Council Affairs and Legal Matters), Adebayo Adeyi, and the Deputy Registrar (Public and Alumni Relations), Olalekan Fadeyi. The Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council and Senate was Dr. Kayode Ogunleye.
