The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange closed in positive territory, rising by 0.2%.
According to EntrepreneurNG, FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc helped the market capitalisation rise by N1.81 billion to close at N942.35 billion, up from N940.51 billion previously.
Similarly, the NASD Unlisted Securities Index (NSI) increased by 1.39 points to end the trading session at 717.15 points, up from 715.76 points the previous trading session.
The trading data showed that the volume of trades increased while the value of transactions decreased, with the number of deals declining during the week’s final trading session.
According to NASD OTC exchange data, the volume of unlisted securities traded by market participants stood at 351,489 units, up from 261,439 units the previous session, indicating a 34.4 percent increase.
However, the value of shares traded by market participants fell by 66.4 percent to N5.3 million from N15.7 million the previous session.
The total number of deals executed at the bourse during the session was 10, which is 50% less than the 20 recorded the day before.
Geo-Fluids Plc remained the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis at the close of business, with the sale of 321.2 million units worth N317.2 million, UBN Property Plc was second with 35.8 million units valued at N25.8 million, and FrieslandCampina WAMCO Group Plc was third with 2.4 million units valued at N160.1 million.
Geo-Fluids Plc was the most active stock by value on a year-to-date basis, with 321.2 million units sold for N317.2 million, FrieslandCampina WAMCO Group Plc was second with 2.4 million units valued at N160.1 million, and VFD Group Plc was third with 561,810 units traded for N137.0 million.
