Senator Abdul Ningi has claimed that there are efforts within the Senate to arrest him following his accusation of padding in the 2024 appropriation budget totaling N3.7 trillion.

He revealed this during an interview on Arise Television. It’s worth noting that the Senate had previously suspended Ningi for three months due to his assertion that projects worth N3.7 trillion in the 2024 budget were unaccounted for.

According to him, he has initiated a significant revelation that cannot be contained. He emphasized the need for open dialogue and transparency within the parliament, highlighting that he has not been approached for evidence or documents regarding his claims.

He asserted that the focus seems to be on silencing or apprehending him rather than addressing the issues he has raised, stating that he has uncovered a situation that neither he nor the Senate can fully control.
