Well-renowned Memphis DJ Rick Buchanan, well known by his stage name “Slick Rick,” was found dead on Angel Avenue in Berclair. The community is in shock and mourning the loss of a prominent local personality following the horrific occurrence, which is presently the subject of an inquiry by local authorities.
John Buchanan, his brother, discovered Slick Rick dead in his home on Wednesday afternoon, January 24, which was a shocking discovery. As soon as John came across the upsetting situation, he dialed 911.

John told FOX13, “I just called 911 after I walked in and found him.” I assumed that because he was wearing a coat over his head, he was cold or something. I sprinted both inside and outside. After that, I understood it was terrible. The DJ’s terrible demise was made even more intriguing by the fact that he was discovered clutching his keys while wearing his pants down.
Slick Rick was a well-known and influential member of the Memphis music scene, making a lasting impression on the community. But in 2014, he was shot outside a nightclub, which had a profound impact on his life. John claims that Slick Rick’s life changed after this incident, becoming a loner who had trouble finding employment.
John said of his brother, “He became a recluse after the shooting,” pointing out that his brother preferred to hang out at home with his dog, Lucky. As a little consolation in the middle of the sadness, John intends to adopt Lucky after Buchanan’s tragic death.
The family is struggling to process the shocking nature of Buchanan’s discovery, and as Memphis Police Department begins looking into the unusual incident, their need for clarification rises.
A family friend Kathy Calaway described him as “a good man, wild man.” “He was such a positive, kind man, and he had the energy of an entire power plant. He would and did help anyone in need.”

In conclusion, the Memphis community laments Slick Rick’s untimely passing while the inquiry progresses, recalling him as a dynamic and uplifting person in addition to being a gifted DJ.
