Justin Timberlake, a pop singer, was freed from police detention after being charged with driving while intoxicated. The 43-year-old singer was detained in Long Island and appeared in court on Tuesday, June 18.

Timberlake, famed for songs like “SexyBack,” came at the Sag Harbour courthouse tied with his hands in front, escorted by his attorney and two others. He was wearing a black bowling shirt, light jeans and white and baby blue Air Force 1 trainers. His handcuffs were released following the court hearing. According to a source familiar with the matter, Justin Timberlake appeared “a bit upset” throughout the arraignment. His wife, actress Jessica Biel, was noticeably absent.

According to TMZ, Timberlake is facing one count of DWI as well as extra citations for running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane. His next court appearance is set for July 26. A Sag Harbour Police Department official verified Timberlake’s arrest on June 18, but did not provide any other information.

According to sources, the incident occurred following Timberlake’s dinner at the American Hotel in Sag Harbour. He was pulled over while en route to a friend’s residence, and no injuries were recorded. Attempts to contact Timberlake’s agents for comment were futile.

Timberlake is now on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, supporting his most recent album, Everything I Thought It Was. His future concerts will take place at Chicago’s United Centre on June 21 and 22, followed by events at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on June 25 and 26.

Justin Timberlake recently honoured Father’s Day by sharing a sweet message on Instagram to his sons, Silas, 9, and Phineas, 3½, Jessica Biel. In the statement, he acknowledged his deep love for his children, calling them his “2 greatest gifts” and thanking them for providing him his “biggest purpose.”

“I learn more about myself everyday just because you both chose me to be your Daddy,” Timberlake wrote in a letter. “I will support you through both highs and lows.” to hoist you up and show you how far you can go in life, and to catch you when you fall. And, of course, to bombard you with annoying Dad jokes all along the way.” “I love you both so much,” he said.
