The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun uploading the presidential election results for 2023 to its website.
According to Punch, as of 10:45 p.m., the electoral body had uploaded results from a total of 2,060 of the 176,846 polling units.
This comes just hours after the Labour Party (LP) accused INEC of refusing to upload results from various polling units in Lagos and Delta states to the Central Server.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the party’s National Chairman, Julius Abure, raised the alarm.
According to Abure, officials from the electoral body, in collaboration with security agencies, claim that the BVAS has suddenly developed a fault and thus cannot function.
According to Abure, information from the party’s field men indicates that in places such as Agege, Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo, Surulere, and Ibeju Lekki, where the Labour Party won convincingly, INEC officials claim that the BVAS suddenly developed a fault when it comes to uploading presidential election results.
