Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, recently recounted how the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, anointed him in 2018 and predicted his emergence as the state governor, Entrepreneurng report.
Speaking at the opening of Jennifer Etuh Medical Centre and Skills Acquisition Centre in Ifewara, Osun State, Adeleke noted that he had faith in Adeboye’s declaration and was not discouraged when it did not immediately come to pass.
The governor, who promised to govern the state with the fear of God, also emphasized the importance of providing quality healthcare to vulnerable residents.
He commended the Jennifer Etuh Foundation for building the health facility and expressed his commitment to providing free medical and surgical services to the people of Osun State.
Adeleke added that his administration’s free medical and surgical initiative had already treated over 20,000 vulnerable residents of different ailments, and he promised to continue to do what is right for the people. Adeboye explained that he had made several attempts to build such a facility for the town, but the cost had always been a barrier. He, therefore, commended the Jennifer Etuh Foundation for fulfilling Jennifer’s dream and building the medical centre, which he described as a much-needed asset for the community.
The Chairman of Jennifer Etuh Foundation and husband of the late Jennifer, Mr Thomas Etuh, also shared how Jennifer gave instructions on what should be done with her investments before her death. According to him, the opening of the third hospital being commissioned was a result of her wishes and the tireless commitment of the foundation.
He added that the first hospital was commissioned on Jennifer’s second year remembrance in January 2022 in Odu, Kogi State, one of the locations she had specified, which was Mr Thomas’s hometown. The second one was commissioned in Kagoro, Kaduna State, which was Jennifer’s own hometown.
