Media personality Toke Makinwa has provided a candid assessment of her teenage passion, stating that she spent her entire adolescence focused on a single romance. The media star shared her story on ‘Cocktails and Takeaways’ and mentioned that she disliked her twenties.
“I do not think I enjoyed my twenties. I don’t think I realised what I was doing because I was in love with one man in my twenties. I spent my entire twenties pursuing one man. I’m grateful to be where I am now because my experiences have formed me.”
Makinwa then encouraged young people to avoid marrying in their early to mid-twenties. “I tell young people that they shouldn’t get married in their early or mid-twenties. Figure it out for yourself. “Know yourself first,” Makinwa emphasised in Cocktails and Takeaways.
