The bourse increased its valuation by N90 million to N934.07 billion, up from N933.98 billion in the previous session.
Similarly, the NASD Unlisted Securities Index (NSI) gained 0.06 points to end the day at 710.85 points, up from 710.79 points the day before.
The sole price gainer was Geo-Fluids Plc, which rose by 2 Kobo during the trading day to close at 84 Kobo per unit, up from 82 Kobo per unit on Monday.
The activity chart showed a mix of red and green as the volume of securities traded yesterday increased by 57.3 percent to 25.2 million units from 15.9 million units, but the value of shares traded fell by 24.7 percent to N20.4 million from N27.1 million, and the number of trades executed by traders decreased by 588.8 percent to seven from 17 on Monday.
According to EntrepreneurNG, the transactions were carried out by three equities: FreislandCampina, Geo-Fluids, and UBN Property. Friesland traded 635 stocks worth N47,768, Geo-Fluids traded 20.2 million shares worth N16.9 million, and UBN Property traded 5.0 million stocks worth N3.5 million.
Geo-Fluids Plc remained the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis at the close of business, with 61.1 million units valued at N49.2 million, UBN Property Plc in second place with 29.7 units valued at N21.1 million, and NASD Plc in third place with 944,112 units valued at N13.6 million.
On the other hand, VFD Group Plc ended the trading session as the most active stock by value on a year-to-date basis, with a turnover of 422,074 units worth N103.0 million, followed by FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc with 834,407 units worth N55.0 million, and Geo-Fluids Plc with 61.1 million units worth N49.2 million.
