Prince Bob Alagoro, 66, a two-time national Super Middleweight boxing champion, has said that he plans to return to the ring 23 years after retiring.
Alagoro, who hung up his gloves after defeating Bamidele Disu in the eleventh round to win his national title in 2000, stated in an interview this week that he was prepared and extremely driven to take on any opponent in the bout scheduled for October of 2024.
He claimed that the moral lesson it imparts, especially to young people who are unsure of what to do, is the foundation of his resolve to fight once more.
“My decision to take up this fight is to tell the younger ones that what are they (the youths) doing? If at 66, I can still enter the ring and fight,” he declared. My goal is to serve as an influence to the next generation.
He said that well-known Nigerian boxer Bash Ali, who has supported him ever since he stopped competing in the sport, was organising the bout.

When asked who he thought would be his opponent, Prince Alagoro said that he did not know yet and did not give a damn.
