FG Moves to Reposition the Civil Service and Trains Permanent Secretaries

According to an Entrepreneurng report, a two-day Senior Leaders’ Programme for all Federal Permanent Secretaries and Permanent Secretaries-Designate has been organized by the Federal Government through the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation in collaboration with the AIG-Imoukhuede Foundation.

This program on the other hand has been put in place to improve workers’ skills and produce big Entrepreneurs in the labor market.

The Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford in London, United Kingdom, is facilitating the training program and will be fully funded at the maximum cost

It is anticipated to give the Federal Civil Service the much-needed push it needs to advance and reestablish itself as a primary driver of Federal Government policies, projects, and programs.

In other words, this will bring great change within all sectors of the federal government.

Again, this program comes with so much exposure and limelight on how to be more productive both manually and technologically-wise.

“It is anticipated that after the two-day training sessions, transformative coaching will be provided to the Chief Administrative and Accounting Heads of the various MDAs to address real-life policy challenges to ensure service delivery and good governance for the growing Nigerian population.”

Nevertheless, the Civil Service Reforms and Democracy, Civil Service Effectiveness, Integrity in Recruitment, and Playbook for the Year Ahead Plenary Sessions comprised the Senior Leaders’ Programme.

In the final context, all the participants were divided into smaller Syndicate Sessions on “Relations between the Public Service at the Federal and State Levels, Nigeria and its International Partnerships, and Building Culture of Integrity” by a team of facilitators from the Blavatnik School of Government at Oxford University, led by Professor Christopher Stone.
