The Federal Government of Nigeria has initiated the Nigerian Youth Economic Engagement and De-Radicalization Programme (NIYEEDEP) for 2025, aiming to create six million direct jobs within the agricultural sector. This initiative seeks to enhance youth economic participation, alleviate poverty, ensure food security, and promote national stability.

Program Objectives:

  • Job Creation: Generate six million direct employment opportunities in agriculture and related industries by 2025.
  • Youth Empowerment: Facilitate active economic engagement of Nigerian youths, transforming them into entrepreneurs and job creators.
  • Poverty Alleviation: Reduce household poverty through sustainable agricultural ventures.
  • Food Security: Enhance the nation’s food supply by supporting youth-led agricultural initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Nationality: Must be a Nigerian citizen.
  • Age: Between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Identification: Possess a valid National Identity Number (NIN).
  • Interest: Demonstrated passion for business, particularly in the agricultural sector.
  • Bank Account: Applicants are required to provide a Lotus Bank account number. If you do not have one, you can open one by visiting ibank.lotusbank.com/account/bvn.
