Experts have criticised the increase in sexual relations in workplace, claiming it poses a threat to the survival of corporations. Joseph Edgar, the chairman of The Duke’s Masterclass, bemoaned the fact that corporate executives were ignoring it and contended that it would harm an organization’s reputation.
Edgar announced that stakeholders would convene to discuss the problem of sexual interactions in Lagos workplaces. He claims that while there are certain great features of working relationships, there are also significant negative effects that, if not handled well, represent risks to four important areas: human capital, legal issues, brand reputation, and structural integrity.
These impacts have the potential to undermine a company and prevent it from accomplishing its corporate objectives.
Speakers at the October 25 event at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, include Justice Kazeem Alogba, Chief Judge of Lagos State; Justice Akinlade, Senior Judge of the Lagos High Court; Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, Chairman of Odua Group; Adekunle Oyinloye, Chairman of Gbose Group; and Dr. Austen Ebose, Managing Director of Anchor Insurance.
CEOs, company owners, corporate executives, specialists in reputation and brand management, and HR specialists are anticipated to attend this session. In addition to talking about the different aspects of this problem, the aim is to provide workable remedies and safeguards that can be ingrained in company culture to stop this negative tendency.
