A former TikTok software engineer is set to unveil a new artificial intelligence (AI), platform tailored to address Africa’s unique technological and business needs.
The yet-to-be-named platform will offer a suite of AI-powered tools designed to enhance productivity, streamline business operations, and support sectors such as education, agriculture, and healthcare across the continent.
Speaking ahead of the launch, the founder said the platform aims to bridge the gap in AI accessibility in Africa, empowering startups, small businesses, and individual users to leverage cutting-edge technology without prohibitive costs.
“We are building AI solutions with Africa in mind; tools that work offline, adapt to local languages, and solve real-life challenges,” the engineer stated, emphasizing the platform’s focus on affordability and inclusivity.
Industry analysts believe the initiative could accelerate digital transformation in Africa, where AI adoption is still at an early stage but rapidly growing.
The launch is expected later this year, with pilot programs planned in Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa.
