Emeka Okonkwo, called E-Money, a popular businessman and socialite, has committed to care for the children of the late Nollywood actor Junior Pope. Junior Pope and three others died after their boat capsized on the Anam River in Anambra State while returning from a movie shoot.
In mourning for the late actor, E-Money claimed that Junior Pope’s final words were about his devotion to training his three sons. He pledged to grant the late actor’s dream by taking up responsibility for his children.
E-money posted on his Instagram page: “It has been one week since you left this world, leaving behind a tremendous sense of grief that reverberates not only among us, but also throughout Africa and beyond.
“Your presence, as a friend and brother, is greatly missed, JP. The weight of your absence weighs heavy on our hearts, but we take solace in the confidence that God will give us the strength to carry on and protect the legacy you’ve bequeathed to us.
“We gently recall your final words on the boat, ‘Na only me dem birth, I get three children, na me go raise them,’ and we sincerely swear to keeping that promise.

“Your children now find consolation in the embrace of the Okonkwo family, and we, as members of that family, promise to care for them as you would have wanted. JP, your absence has left a distinct vacuum, and your memory will be treasured forever.Rest peacefully, knowing that you are truly loved, and may God’s blessings be upon your soul, your family, and all those who hold you dear.”
