A fire broke out on Wednesday at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, located in the Lekki Free Zone of Lagos.
Anthony Chiejina, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of Dangote Group, responded to the event, in a statement that the fire has been contained and there is no need for concern.
“We quickly contained a minor fire incident at our effluent treatment plant (ETP) today, Wednesday, June 26.

“The refinery is running normally, and there are no reports of injuries or physical harm to any of our on-duty staff, so there is no need for concern,” the statement stated.
