Ayoola Oba Otudeko, an Omoba of the Yoruba people, was born on August 18, 1943, into a royal family in Ibadan, Oyo State, South-West Nigeria. He is 80 years old. His mum worked was businesswoman.
He attended Olivet Baptist High School in Oyo and St. John’s School in Oke Agbo, Ijebu-Igbo in Ogun State. Later, at the Leeds College of Commerce in Leeds, Yorkshire, United Kingdom (which is now a part of Leeds Beckett University), he studied accounting.

Banking
Oba Otudeko worked for the Cooperative Bank of Ibadan for 23 years, rising to the position of General Manager and Acting Chief Executive Officer. In 1983, he decided to leave the bank. He was named a director to the Central Bank of Nigeria’s board by the Nigerian federal government.
Honeywell Group
Oba Otudeko established Honeywell Enterprises in the 1970s. Later on, the trading enterprise company developed into the diversified industrial, trading, and investment conglomerate known as Honeywell Group.
