Big Brother Naija star Venita Akpofure strongly advised against getting married young, stressing the need to wait till one is at least 28 years old, in an interview that aired on The Big Friday Show. During an interview with fellow reality star Tacha, Venita shared some candid statements in which she advocated for women to prioritize living their lives to the fullest before thinking about getting married.
“O, do not marry young! Go not say to your sweetie, “I’m a high school student.” Here, we meet our death. Simply be youthful! Have fun with life. During the discussion, Venita argued, “Get married when you’re tired.”
The mother of two stressed her position specifically for her daughter when she said, “If my daughter approaches me, we can rock it as long as she’s not, I swear to God, not up to 28.” Anything less than 28, kindly decline. Venita’s advise is based on the idea that people should marry when they have had a chance to thoroughly explore who they are.
Venita emphasized the significance of considering a variety of life circumstances in order to make well-informed judgments regarding marriage, even if she acknowledged that some people may mature at a younger age. “Don’t get me wrong; mature individuals do exist, oh. However, in order to be certain that everything is well, you must try a variety of experiences and activities in life. I want to stay stuck here. You’re there because it’s a handcuff, she said.
