OST Program Offers $20,000 for Early-Stage African Startups & Talents

​The OST Program, a Pan-African pre-seed accelerator co-developed with Columbia Engineering and Columbia Business School, is currently accepting applications for its 2025 cohort. This five-month hybrid program is designed to support early-stage African startups and solo talents in transforming proof-of-concept ideas into market-ready products. ​

Key Benefits:

  • Funding & Investment: Finalist startups entering Phase 2 are eligible for $20,000 SAFE investment tickets, requiring only 1% equity.

  • Mentorship & Training: Participants receive guidance from Columbia faculty and seasoned industry experts to navigate the journey from POC to MVP to market launch.

  • International Exposure: The program includes cross-continental visits and networking events, providing participants with opportunities to explore new markets beyond Africa.

  • Talent Integration: Startups can attract skilled individuals in tech, marketing, design, and business to fill critical team gaps and drive growth. ​

Eligibility:

  • Startups: Pre-seed or seed-stage startups with a working proof-of-concept and the ambition to build and launch a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). ​

  • Solo Talents: Tech experts, designers, marketers, strategists, students, and early-career professionals looking to gain real startup experience.

Application Deadline: May 11, 2025​
