Applications are currently open for the 2025 Capacity-Building Programme for Women Energy Entrepreneurs, an initiative jointly organised by the Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET) and the SADC Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (SACREEE), with financial support from the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
Programme Overview
This six-month virtual programme is designed to empower women entrepreneurs in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region who own or operate energy-related businesses. The focus is on enhancing business soft skills, including leadership, marketing, finance, and strategic planning. Please note that the programme does not include technical training related to energy technologies.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

Gender and Nationality: Identify as women and hold nationality of a SADC member country.

Business Ownership: Own or operate an energy-related business.

Commitment: Be able to commit approximately 8 hours per month to participate in the virtual training sessions.
Preference will be given to entrepreneurs working in areas such as solar thermal, energy efficiency, and the productive use of energy.
