The fully funded two-month Collide Residency Program 2025 is divided between Denmark and Switzerland. The first month will be spent at CERN in Geneva, while the second month will be spent at Copenhagen Contemporary in Copenhagen.
The initiative seeks to invite artists who are keen to work with scientists and engineers and who have an interest in science and technology.
Applicants must submit a proposal. All Nationals are eligible to apply for the Collide Residency Program, which funds creative research in the fields of science, technology, and art.
Throughout the residence, artists investigate their ideas and have deep discussions with staff, engineers, and scientists. Proposals that examine how scientific research and cutting-edge technology impact contemporary culture and society will be accepted by the Collide Residency Program.
Eligibility:
- The Program is open to applicants from all countries.
- Must be 18 or over 18 years old.
- Artists with at least 5 years of professional artistic experience and a strong body of work.
- Artists interested in the cultural significance of scientific research and technology.
- Artists must be eager to engage with scientists, engineers, and staff at CERN and CC.
- Artists are capable of collaborative and interdisciplinary work.
- Artists are interested in CERN’s community, history, and narratives.
- Artists whose work explores new models of social inquiry and the intersection of art, science, technology, and society.
