Accelerate Africa is a pre-seed/seed stage accelerator program that helps ambitious and imaginative innovators turn our shared concerns into international businesses.
It gives you the client introductions, tools, advisors, and networks you need to start making $1 million within 18 months.
They choose entrepreneurs from all around the African continent to receive support in areas including storytelling, team building, go-to-market, product development, and finance. They operate multiple cohorts annually for up to 10 startups over 11 weeks.
They think that entrepreneurs with a range of backgrounds, skills, languages, genders, ages, ethnicities, and more can transform Africa’s most pressing problems into multinational corporations. Because of this, 40% of the founders they have collaborated with are female, between the ages of 20 and 60, and hail from or work in more than ten African nations.
Eligibility
- Open to startups from across the African continent.
- Passionate about solving a real problem and have the track record or traction to prove it.
- Deep understanding of their customers and consider it their life’s work to serve them.
- Lived experience of the problem, driving them to build a business that seems impossible until it’s done.
Benefits
- First – they will accept 10 founders who will receive support from 2 of the top founders and investors in Africa who have built, advised, invested in and exited multiple successful businesses in Africa.
- Second – Their program is designed to meet your needs as a founder in Africa, whether it be workshops across their 5 core areas, coaching sessions from their top advisors, or tech, legal, and finance clinics support through their clinics and office hours. Build community with other founders in fireside chats, join in person for welcome week and again for the final week where they prepare you ahead of the demo day
