AIIDEV Africa’s Sustainable Energy Accelerator (SEA) is an innovation initiative designed to encourage entrepreneurship in the energy industry and advance sustainable energy solutions.
The SEA’s main objectives are to address urgent energy issues throughout Africa, promote economic growth, social advancement, and environmental sustainability, and accelerate the development and implementation of sustainable energy solutions throughout the continent.
SEA is set up as a rigorous accelerator program that offers chosen participants a nurturing setting in which to develop their energy solutions.
With its advanced workshop series, case-study development, innovation research, boot camps, and mentorship sessions, the six-month accelerator program will give participants the support and direction they need to improve their knowledge, skills, and leadership abilities so they can promote positive change in Africa’s energy sector.
Renewable energy generation and distribution systems, energy-efficient building, industrial and transportation technologies and solutions, energy storage and management solutions, clean cooking technologies, smart grid and energy management systems, digital and Internet of Things-enabled energy solutions, and sustainable transportation and mobility are just a few of the many projects and startups that are welcome to apply to the Sustainable Energy Accelerator.

Eligibility Criteria:Â To participate in this program, please note the following criteria before proceeding with your application:
- Applicants must be from a Sub-Saharan African country and between the ages of 21 and 40.
- Applicants must have a genuine interest and passion for renewable energy and the green economy and a desire to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development in Africa.
- SEA applicants should demonstrate leadership potential and a strong commitment to making a positive impact in their respective communities.
- You must be ready to commit at least 5 hours weekly and available to actively participate in the programme.
- Applicants must have access to a reliable internet connection, data, and necessary technology devices to fully participate in virtual activities and meetings.
