Tragedy struck as one of the prestigious institutions in Nigeria, Access Bank loses its CEO, Herbert Wigwe two months after the death of Abdul Imoye, its media manager.
Recall that a few hours earlier, Herbert Wigwe, together with his wife and two kids, were killed in a helicopter crash while travelling to Las Vegas, near a town on the California-Nevada border.
It was reported that Wigwe departed Lagos State, Nigeria, on Wednesday in order to see the American football game known as Super Bowl 58.
This happened two months after the death of Access Bank’s media manager and journalist, Abdul Imoyo.
The association said in a statement signed by ACAMB President Rasheed Bolarinwa that the journalist and corporate media manager passed away at First Cardiology in Ikoyi, Lagos, early on December 17, 2023, following a brief illness.
Until his demise, Imoyo served as the head of media relations at Access Holdings “where he contributed significantly to the financial group’s communication strategies and public image”.
