President Bola Tinubu has authorized the designation of DCG Kemi Nandap as the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), effective March 1, 2024.
DCG Nandap succeeds Mrs. Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju, whose tenure concludes on February 29, 2024.
Prior to assuming the role of Comptroller-General, Nandap served as the Deputy Comptroller-General overseeing the Migration Directorate of the Service.

A statement issued by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the presidential spokesperson, highlighted the President’s expectation that the new Comptroller-General will advance the ongoing reforms within the service. Additionally, Nandap is tasked with establishing a robust framework for efficient and dedicated service delivery to Nigerians, while enhancing national security through proactive border security measures and effective migration management.
