On the auspicious day of November 29, 2023, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia ceremoniously commenced the commencement of the 100-day countdown to the 13th African Games, scheduled to take place in Accra in 2024. However, due to unforeseen circumstances disrupting preparations, the Games have been rescheduled to unfold in March 2024.
