October has been designated as “Mental Health Awareness Month” to encourage us to consider our mental health and recognise the difficulties we have in preserving it. It is also a means of educating and motivating people to take mental health seriously.
We are encouraged this month to take a break from our regular routines, look after our mental health, get help, and dispel the stigma associated with mental health problems.

Exercise
Studies have shown that activities like yoga, walking, and jogging increase blood flow and produce endorphins, which assist our bodies experience happy emotions. Exercise enhances sleep and cognitive performance and is an excellent strategy to lower stress, anxiety, and sadness.
Respect Yourself
You are greater than the situations that surround you. Therefore, engaging in your favourite activities, like dancing, singing, swimming, and other pastimes, might make you feel more confident. Limit your exposure to unfavourable news and social media items, and learn to say no when anything makes you uncomfortable.
Handle Your Stress
In order to stabilise your mental health and lower stress, you should establish a normal daily routine and order, such as regular sleeping patterns, balanced meals, and exercise. Stress can quickly set off a bad mood. During your breaks at work or school, you can also try watching humorous content or memes to strengthen your immune system, relieve discomfort, unwind, and lower stress levels.
Make connections with other people
Keeping up social ties and forming healthy relationships with family and friends are equally critical to preserving mental health. These networks provide emotional support, boost our self-esteem, lessen feelings of loneliness, and—above all—make us feel loved.
Engage in Mindfulness
Practice By practicing mindfulness through present-focused activities like meditation or deep breathing, you can better understand yourself and enjoy life. In a similar vein, you should focus more on the here and now and steer clear of comments made about you, your emotions, your body, and the environment.
