The price of refilling a 12.5 kilogramme cooking gas cylinder increased in September 2024 throughout Nigeria, with some states seeing more significant price hikes than others.
According to the most recent National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) data, the average price for a 12.5 kg cylinder is greatest in the South-East (N16,957.29), followed by the South-West (N16,665.45), and the North-East (N15,770.75).
From August to September 2024, the 12.5 kg Cylinder increased by 4.89% month over month and by 76.41% year over year, from N9,247.40 in September 2023.
