The David Sainsbury Scholarships in Global Plant Health are open to students interested in pursuing an MSc in Plant Health at the University of East Anglia during the academic year 2024/2025. Tuition fees, living stipends and a transit allowance are among the privileges provided by the University of East Anglia scholarship.
The scholarship provides support of £33,150 (N44.3 million) plus £4000 (N5.3 million) for transport expenditures. Interested individuals must first apply to and be accepted by the University of East Anglia before being considered for the scholarships, according to the school’s website.
According to the UEA website, if you match the eligibility conditions, you will be immediately considered for the scholarship on a competitive basis – no further application is required. “You will be considered for the scholarship using the same criteria as your application to participate in the course.
“The criteria are: academic achievement and academic awards together with knowledge/experience/potential of molecular biology, genetics, molecular interactions, data science such as bioinformatics and statistics, laboratory skills, and independent study.”
Addressing potential Nigerian applicants, it states that “All self-funded Nigerian students applying to a Master’s course at UEA beginning in September 2024 will automatically be awarded the UEA Nigeria Award scholarship.”
“The scholarship is worth £4,000 if you meet the UEA admission standards and £5,000 if you have a final undergraduate grade point average of 4.1 or higher. Amounts will be deducted from tuition fees in accordance with the terms and conditions.”
