On Sunday, President Bola Tinubu will welcome Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Presidential Villa in Abuja for a state visit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit on Saturday.
According to a statement issued by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the Prime Minister’s visit to Nigeria will be the first by an Indian prime minister since Dr Manmohan Singh’s state visit in 2007, when the two countries formed a strategic partnership.
According to the release, President Tinubu and Prime Minister Modi will aim to improve Nigeria-India ties during their bilateral talks.
Both presidents will sign Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) to improve collaboration in vital sectors.
