Former Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Minister Betta Edu has openly stated her support for President Bola Tinubu and her faith in his ability to lead Nigeria through its current difficulties. Edu is hopeful about the country’s future even though Tinubu suspended him on January 8 after a contentious memo requesting the transfer of N585 million to a private account was made public.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was instructed by the president to look into the humanitarian ministry’s financial dealings. Speaking on Sunday during her 38th birthday party in Abuja, Edu reaffirmed her conviction that Nigeria is going through a challenging time but will soon come out stronger.
I’m grateful to God for each and every one of you. I appreciate your support and encouragement of Nigerian youths,” she stated. “I would take this opportunity to pray for our beloved nation, and I am sure that Nigeria will improve,” she added.
I have no doubt that Nigerians’ hopes will be revived. “I am sure that God will give the president, our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the wisdom to manage this country,” Edu said, expressing her confidence in Tinubu’s leadership. And I have faith that positive changes will occur.
