There comes the vision, the notion, the thought, the possibility, the faith, the conviction, the certainty, the works, the sermon, the preaching, the conversion, the co-travelers, then the journey. Where exactly are you going? I have an idea of the way, not sure but must test and try to confirm the way. May be this or that is the way, not sure, never sure, but if it is not we will find the right way somewhere down the road. There will be many ways. We will take one, just one. To where exactly? To success. What is a success? Don’t know. We’ll know when we get there. What if its is not what we think or expect? We will keep looking or accept it for whatever it is, must be a close relative, may even have some useful clue to the one we seek. Which one? Don’t know. Until we see it.
Above represents the entrepreneurship journey we talk so excitedly about. Not very inspiring you may say. A confused picture you can add. But yes, that is really what it is no matter how carefully you plan. You stand a greater chance of “succeeding” or “surviving” if you imbibe the consciousness of the scene above.
It’s a disposition that is thrilled by the unknown, the certain uncertainty that takes you to where you do not really know. It’s amusing when you see an aspiring entrepreneur espouse his glorious idea that will bring him money, fame, and power. All worked out, streamed lined processes, actions and results. That ideal is never the path of successful entrepreneurs. If it were, then they can write there author biography before the journey begins. Never seen one do that yet. Never will. The twist and turns of wonderful ideas that fail, succeed and fail again, and the surprising twist that turns the table is a lot of entrepreneurship journey.
